April has been a busy month in Elementary School, with Grades 3, 4 and 5 camps. It was good to view the highlights of the camps on the classes’ twitter accounts and read the blogs written by the students. These initiatives encapsulated how the two important learning opportunities provided by technology and hands on experience synergise to make learning even more powerful.
The camps were organised for the second year by Innotrek. I was very impressed when I saw the team putting their Experiential Learning Model into practice with our students.
I am sure the camps will be something remembered for a long time.
Student Led Conferences was another highlight for this month. It was outstanding to see the pride that the students took in showing their parents what they had learnt. The conferences displayed what students learned at ISS and how empowered they feel by their learning.
