“Hurray to 42!” This is our top score for the 2017 IB results. What this achievement shows is that our commitment as an inclusive school, nurturing all learners by delivering a differentiated learning approach, is the right and correct strategy. This has empowered our students with the competencies and characteristics to realise their potential.
Whilst some schools apply exclusive admissions policies, ISS believes in an inclusive policy. We prove our success by ensuring that each and every student we admit is able to achieve their potential. Whether a student has the potential of going on to attend one of the world’s top universities or any myriad of other pathways to a happy and fulfilled life, ISS is committed to ensuring that each student can achieve personal success. Our average IB scores this year is 32 and the IB results achieved ranged from the mid twenties to the forties. ”This wide range of IB scores reflects our inclusive admissions policies. We believe that every child deserves an education and we will adjust our systems and strategies to meet this objective. The fact that ISS is still able to score better than the world average of 29, further strengthens our commitment to inclusivity,” says Dr. Margaret Alvarez, Head of School at ISS.

Rin, our top IB student shares that the rigoruous regime that she committed herself to daily, to consistently study, take notes, and create a study planner where projects were divided into smaller tasks, with real achievable goals, was key to her success. This together with the unwavering care, dedication and support from her many teachers who thought nothing of sacrificing their personal time to guide, teach, give her thorough answers and explanations to questions, helped her improve and understand her coursework and resulted in her excellent achievement.
Congratulations to Rin and to the Class of 2017. Well done! Your stoic determination has won you the race. We wish you all the best as you embark on the next exciting phase in university.
Importantly, a big thank you to all our teachers for their unwavering care, support and dedication. Without your nurturing care, ISS will not be so successful in helping our students realise their fullest potential!
