ISS Guardianship Programme and Boarding

At ISS International School, we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for our students. Our Guardianship Programme and boarding options ensure that students have a stable living arrangement that supports both academic success and personal development.

ISS Guardianship Programme

The ISS Guardianship Programme provides a safe and supportive environment for international students, ensuring they thrive both academically and personally. Trusted guardians work closely with ISS, parents, and students to create a nurturing and stable home environment.

Guardians provide a safe and caring home environment, focusing on students’ mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
All guardians are rigorously screened to meet ISS’s high standards. Tailored care ensures each student’s needs are met through regular communication and close relationships.
Students benefit from structured routines, cultural activities, and a positive home atmosphere. High satisfaction rates—100% among students and 85% among parents—reflect the programme’s success.

  2. Complete the screening process, including background checks and home evaluations.
  3. Join ISS to provide exceptional care to international students.

Oldham Hall Boarding

Oldham Hall is an alternative or complementary boarding option that offers a structured and professionally managed environment for ISS students:

Oldham Hall provides a supportive and enriching environment where students can mature, build social skills, and thrive alongside peers from diverse backgrounds.

Parent-Appointed Adults (PAA)

Parents who wish to appoint their own guardians will need to complete and submit the Letter of Authorization.

PAA Responsibilities:

  • Align with ISS’s mission and policies (e.g., attendance, dress code, homework).
  • Provide a safe and stable home environment that supports learning and well-being.
  • Be accessible, responsive, and maintain regular communication with both the school and parents.

ISS makes every effort to ensure that relationships between students and Parent-Appointed Adult (PPA) are successful. All parties are urged to clarify expectations before deciding on a Parent-Appointed Adult for their child.
