Experience ISS for Yourself
Applying to ISS
We understand that starting or switching school can be a challenging and stressful time. We aim to make the application process a pleasant and straightforward experience.
When considering applicants, we take into account factors which include personal and social development, educational history and milestones, academic profile and English language proficiency to determine if applicants will benefit from their learning experience at ISS.
All applications are diligently processed, evaluated for acceptance and grade-level placement, and submitted to the respective Academic Director for approval. To help us expedite your application, please complete all the necessary documents listed in the Application Checklist.
Submit Student Application via OpenApply
We accept applications throughout the year and practise rolling enrolment to accommodate expatriate families who relocate at various times. Applications for the current year are still open, subject to space availability. We look forward to hearing from you, and it would be our pleasure to share with you more about realising potential at ISS.
Please refer to the age-eligibility chart to gauge your child’s potential year level of enrolment
Proficiency & Placement Testing
At ISS, we want to ensure that students are placed in the suitable class that matches their ability. Places in ISS are awarded based on a thorough review of each student’s profile, educational history and background, and whether the school can support the student to ensure the student is successful at ISS.
Primary School (G1-5)
Proficiency testing is required for non-native speakers of English.
High School (G6-8)
Non-native speakers of English will sit for an English placement assessment so that the school can gather information about their English level and ability across four domains: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
High School (G9-12)
Students will sit for 3 placement assessments: English, Mathematics, and a Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4).
Application Review
Information and documents submitted via OpenApply are reviewed by the Academic Heads. Request for additional information or reports may take place during this stage. As and when the need arises, an interview with the applicant may be required.
From the receipt of all documents, the review typically takes 5-7 working days.
Offer of Placement
If admission is granted, the parent(s)/guardian(s) will be extended a formal Letter of Offer by email.
Accepting and Securing a Place
The applicant’s placement in ISS is confirmed by the payment of the Enrolment Fee (S$3,667) and signing of the acknowledgement form. A student contract must be signed as a next step, while invoices for school fees will follow suit.
As stipulated by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), all students must sign the PEI-Student Contract with ISS prior to being enrolled. You may refer to this sample of student contract as a reference. For further information required, please contact us at admissions@iss.edu.sg.
